I think with the poor hearing a podcast about poor Guatemalan children, are sometimes just happy to be recognized as people.. so their smiling at you maybe isn't such a shock to me. I like the writing on the wall one though I do wonder what it says. Perhaps you can subtitle it in your post or tell us here?
A fine, varied series. I like the long hall way shot very much. The pretty woman and the cute youngster seem so out-of-place in these poverty stricken places.
Top quality and expressive photography here, a great and interesting reportage about the poor people of Manila. Each photo is a masterpiece. I like them a lot.
